Google+ and YouTube are breaking up

Google announced that they will start to separate Google+ and YouTube after they started requiring Google+ accounts to comment and create YouTube accounts. They changed is not only welcomed but celebrated among many YouTube users who resisted being forced to use Google+. The change will take months to happen, but will start by having comments left on YouTube videos not be automatically shared to Google+.

“In the coming months, a Google Account will be all you need to share content, communicate with contacts, create a YouTube channel and more, all across Google,” Google vice president of Streams, Photos, and Sharing Bradley Horowitz said. “YouTube will be one of the first products to make this change.”

Google does warn not to delete your Google+ account yet, otherwise it will delete your YouTube channel. Google has been separating services like Google+ Photos to Google Photos instead of bundling everything into Google+. The changes might singal changes to Google or that Google wants to cut Google+ in the near future.
