Biggest announcements from EA’s E3 event

E3 2016 officially begun as EA’s press conference came to a close. I was personally excited for EA’s event solely because they were releasing gameplay of Battlefield 1, and then would live stream the games online multiple player mode on Twitch. EA in recent years has become popular and less hated than they have in the past, and they have the franchise Battlefield.

EA announced a slew of games along with minor news about developers and new franchises they are working on. We’ve combed through all the news from the press conference and rounded up the best parts of it so you can ignore the fluff that EA announced.

Here’s our top announcements from EA’s E3 event:

Titanfall 2 signal player mode

Titanfall fell flat on its face, but Titanfall 2 addressed the problem users had. The game will feature a campaign that gives us a full fledged story. Even though the story mode leaked before the press conference, it doesn’t make the gameplay any less amazing.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Mass Effect: Andromeda is a long way off, and we’ll have to wait till the fall for more substantial news. The new game will be built on the Frostbite engine giving the game a lot of room to make stunning graphics and do more advanced settings. The newly released trailer, featuring gameplay and development footage, is stunning and exciting.

FIFA 17 has a story mode

While I’m not a huge fan of FIFA, the new story mode looks fascinating. When you take part in the ‘journey’ or story mode, you assume the role of a player named Alex Hunter as he works his way up to the Premier League.

FIFA is going to become more attractive when you don’t have friends to play with or don’t want to play with randoms on the internet.

EA Originals focuses on indie developers

EA is going to help promote and bring indie developers onto consoles. EA Originals are going to begin releasing every year from EA, starting with Fe, an atmospheric game from a small studio out of Gothenburg.

It’s nice to see EA focus on the indie developers, as more indie studios are coming up like Rocket League.

Battlefield 1 looks advanced and beautiful

Despite being set during World War 1, Battlefield 1 is a visually stunning and superior game than previous titles in the franchise. The game features large maps with almost entirely destructible environments. Battlefield 1 is going to be one of the most sophisticated FPS games of 2016.

We also got a sneak peak of the online gameplay which looks equally stunning. The game doesn’t come out until the fall, but EA has us jumping for the game!
