Google’s Daydream controller looks like a Wiimote

Google’s new VR platform, Daydream, wouldn’t be complete without a headset and controller. While they won’t be producing themselves, these designs are for OEMs making their versions. The controller is a little white stick which looks like a cross between the Apple TV remote and a Wiimote. The controller has two physical buttons and one touchpad.

The controller has an orientation and motion sensor so users can flick the controller to hit a ball or move it around like it’s their hands. The first headsets and controller will hit consumers hands in the early fall, with Android N being the backbone for Daydream.

I’m excited to see what Daydream brings to the VR space and if it will change how we use our phones for VR. Tell us in the comments below what you think about Daydream and the ugly little remote for the VR games.
