Listen with us: O’Reilly Bots Podcast

O’Reilly Media shaped the internet since the 80’s with the publishing of books on programming and computer technology. They’ve branched off with more books on the larger story of how the internet is affecting the economy, society, and everything in between. The haven’t stopped spotting trends or shaping the internet, but now they’re doing it through a new podcast.

As we’re in the experimental phase of bots craze – Lots of people are testing out ideas to vet which ones are going to pan out. The popup podcast is trying to discern how AI + bots play into our lives, and whether folks want to use a bot over trying call someone. The podcast is of particular importance as bots turn towards app stores and messaging clients. We’re able to order and Uber through the Amazon Echo, or message ESPN for stats on Facebook Messenger.

The episode is 44 minutes long, and first in the series. We’ll see more episodes and the Media company is hosting a bot day in San Fransico on October 19, 2016. The day is for anyone thinking about bots, building a bot strategy, or building bots.

Tell us in the comments below if you’re going to listen to the podcast, or if you’re going to go to the Bot day in San Fransico! Also, don’t forget to leave them a 5-star review on iTunes and tell them we sent you there way!
