Pebble Gets Full iOS 7 Integration, SDK 2.0 Released

Pebble is issuing an update for its smartwatch that adds new integration options for iOS 7. Pebble wearers will now be able to push any notifications in Notification Center to their Pebble. That means that alerts from any apps installed on an iPhone can be micromanaged directly from iOS 7 without relying on Pebble’s app.

In addition, the company is launching SDK 2.0. The latest kit for Pebble developers enables access to additional functions, such as Javascript, data logging, the accelerometer, and persistent storage. Pebble says that partners such as Yelp, Foursquare, and GoPro are already working on apps that take advantage of the new SDK.

All in all, 190,000 Pebbles have been sold worldwide. To celebrate, the company is including free shipping for any new orders placed online. It’s a limited time offer, but it’s a nice gesture in the wake of today’s news. If you’re sold on the idea of the Pebble, you can order one right here.
