Casio Pro Trek WSD-F20 Android Wear watch now available

Back at CES 2017, Casio unveiled the Casio Pro Trek WSD-F20; a revamped version of their Android Wear watch. The newer model offers GPS, full-color maps, offline map capabilities, and the ability to message offline between watches. The GPS is said to use low-power, helping keep the battery usage to a minimum. The changes will delight anyone who enjoys hiking, but the extremely high price tag, $500, will deter a significant number of them.

The watch is water resistant up to 50-meters, and use the watch for up to 2-days before you need to recharge. Everything around the design and functionality focuses on hiking, fishing, and other outdoor tasks. You’re able to set reminders for when the sun will set or when it’s the best time to fish.  Users can change the maps designs, and select the areas they want offline. The Watch will also track the trails they’re walking, even when the watch is offline.

The Casio Pro Trek WSD-F20 is a hikers dream watch

If you do anything outdoors, you’ll want the watch. The problem is the $500 price is a huge turn-off, at least for me. There are other watch options with similar features and functions in the same price range. Which makes the Casio Pro Trek a great choice, if not better option in the price range. Overall, Casio improved upon the Casio Pro WSD-F10 making the watch even more appealing.

If you want to buy the watch today you can purchase it for $500 from Amazon today. The Casio Pro Trek WSD-F10, which is the previous generation, is $399 for the black model on Amazon. We’ll have a review on the watch soon, so stay tuned to see if it’s worth the $500.

Tell us in the comments below if you’re going to buy the watch or maybe you’ll opt for another outdoor watch from a competitor?
