LG Watch Style smartwatches look gorgeous

In the latest round of leaks from Evan Blass, LG’s newest smartwatch will look drop dead gorgeous. LG Watch Style will feature Android Wear 2.0, a round display, and come in silver and rose gold. Evan also tipped the watches could be announced before MWC on February 9th.

According to the rumors, the watch will have a 1.2-inch P-OLED display with a resolution of 360 x 360. It’ll come with 4GB storage and 512MB of RAM. The Smartwatch will be dust and water resistant with the IP67 rating and feature a 240mAh battery. It’s expected LG price the Watch Style at $249.

In addition to the Watch Style, LG is working on a sports variant with better specs than the more stylish version. The Sports Watch will sport a 1.38-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 480, 736MB of RAM, and IP68 rating. It’ll also have LTE, NFC, and GPS connections for tracking runs and possibly mobile payments. With the higher specs, the watch will likely cost another $100. Priced at $349 would still make it cheaper than some variants of the Apple Watch.

LG was one of Android Wear early partners. These new watches could become a part of Google’s newest “Pixel” smartwatches or be reference designs for the watches. Either way, the new leaks from LG’s latest watches make me want to upgrade from my Moto360 watch to these new models.
