Todobook makes your time on Facebook more productive

We all do it – we are trying to stay productive but then we navigate to the black hole that’s Facebook. Parts of Facebook, Messenger or Groups, can help you stay productive when you’re collaborating with coworkers or peers. Luckily, one Chrome extension is killing the news feed by replacing it with a todo list. Todobook will do just that.

The Chrome extension replaces your News Feed with a simple to-do list where you can add tasks and mark them as done. If you finish all your tasks for the day, you “unlock” five minutes of News Feed time. A v2 update could include a todo list function for Twitter or other social networks, something that’ll be more useful for me.

Ian, the founder, said “every time [he] turn to Facebook to procrastinate (and that happens a lot) [he’s] greeted by a list of things [he] needs to do and [he’s] reminded to focus on what matters.” We can all relate to his struggles of trying to stay on task, but being easily distracted. I’m not sure if I’ll have enough willpower to keep the todo extension on all the time, but I’m going to give it a whirl.

Todobook sticks a balance between leveraging Facebook for its great collaboration tools and entertainment needs. If your new year’s resolution is to be more productive, the Chrome extension will help you stay on track!
