Twitter’s introducing QR codes to make following friends easier

Facebook Messenger, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Twitter all have one thing in common; QR Codes.

In a silent move, Twitter rolled out QR codes to user profiles. The QR Codes let you quickly follow other Twitter users, similar to how Snapchat lets you add friends by scanning a QR code.

Twitter rolled out other features today to stave off trolls and allow users to filter content in their timeline. Having QR codes added in could be a way Twitter hopes you’ll start adding more people you meet IRL and create constructive conversations. The addition of QR codes could be a small test amongst users or a larger rollout. Either way, Twitter’s trying to add value and fix the troll issue on their struggling service.

Tell us in the comments below if you’ve seen the QR feature on Twitter yet!
