Microsoft announces Visual Studio coming to Mac

As a programmer, a robust development tool is much appreciated in today’s day and age. MacOS, a favored platform for many developers, is finally getting access to Visual Studio. Now don’t mistake this with Visual Studio Code, Microsofts coding IDE.

It’s great to see more and more options come to the development community as Microsoft branches out to bring more of their products to MacOS. It will be based on Xamarin Studio, a popular C# IDE for OS X.

I’ll be excited to try it out for iOS and Web Development, and as more IDE’s expand to MacOS, we’ll be sure to keep you updated as they begin rolling out. Are you a developer? What’s your IDE of choice? Let us know in the comments below!
