Youtube’s blowing up day by day, more and more channels are being created as well as current ones growing and with that, there are so many videos you can watch on various topics. But this article is based around the top 5 tech Youtubers. So why would we not talk about the tech side of things on Youtube? Technology, just like Youtube, is growing. Year after year more and more advancements and breakthroughs are created every year. I know for me, whenever I’m looking to purchase something I make sure to check Youtube first, and that’s why I’m talking about my top 5 favorite tech Youtubers – the ones I go to when I’m looking to buy a new product in the tech space.
MKBHD
First up is one of my favorites as well as firsts. Meaning the first technology Youtuber I’ve ever subscribed to. MKBHD is known to many as a hero in the tech world. Especially with Youtube. A lot of people watch Marques Brownlee with over 3.6 million subscribers and 456 million views to date. This New Jersey kid is insane, and he knows exactly what he’s talking about. I think what makes MKBHD so resourceful is his opinion. One thing that always kept me coming back is his unbiased say it how it is the attitude. The kid’s not afraid to speak his mind and could care less about what companies have to say as well. He put’s out some of the highest quality tech reviews on Youtube. Rocking a RED Weapon. The RED Weapon Forged CF 6K shoots video and stills at up to 75 FPS in 6K resolution. A beast of a camera costing over $59,000. His videos are a pleasure to watch, and his videos are a good staple if you’re looking for a good example of how to make tech reviews. He’s currently filming in a brand new studio he just moved into he’s recently been cranking out videos on a weekly basis.

Austin Evans
If any of you readers have ever watched Austin Evans you’re familiar with the famous intro phrase “Hey guys, this is Austin”. Something you and many others subscribed to his channel can expect every time you click on one of his videos. Austin Evans, like Marques, is also a very popular technology Youtuber with over 1.5 million subscribers and 216 million video views to date. Which compared to Marques, Isn’t too bad for his subscriber count. With Austin, his videos are a bit different. Sure he does typical tech reviews on his channel and rumors like the latest iPhone 7 leak where he compared an iPhone 7 clone to other smartphones currently on the market. But one thing you can find on his channel is things all about PCs. He makes plenty of videos on how to build PC’s on a budget, gives you benchmarks, and how to create them. So If you’re a Mac user, It may not be your cup of tea. If you’re looking to dive deeper into the PC world, It could be just the channel to get you started.
One of his most recent videos “Bayron $1500 Gaming PC Build – August 2016” is a rundown of a semi-budget friendly PC that can handle 4K. He has some sick shots in this video and knows what he’s talking about. In the video, he uses the Oculus Rift. The PC is also above the minimum requirements to run VR and has some quick Read and Right speeds. But enough of me talking about it, go ahead and watch the video if you want to learn more about it. He also has some more tutorials on some lower priced PCs. I’m a fan of the channel, and Austin adds some unique spice to the tech community. I found him right after I started watching MKBHD and became an instant fan from the outset.
Unbox Therapy
Unbox Therapy, or Lew, is a large channel that puts a spin on regular tech videos. If you can guess from the name, Lew unboxes different pieces of tech and gives his thoughts about it. He’s unboxed some colossal and very strange things on his channel, and that’s something that keeps me coming back. I enjoy watching his videos, and he’s doing a giveaway of iPhones and Galaxy S7’s in association with dbrand. dbrand, if you haven’t heard of them is an online seller of custom phone skins. You can customize skins using different materials and textures as well as colors of your choosing. They’ll be announcing the winners on dbrands website.
His channel is closing in fast on 6 million subscribers and with the current giveaway and weekly uploads, I’m sure he’ll be passing that milestone pretty quickly. His channel has a total of 817 million views. More than MKBHD and Austin Evans combined. With a pretty solid upload schedule and high-quality videos on relative technology, I can assure that you won’t be disappointed if you subscribe.
TechnoBuffalo
Next up is TechnoBuffalo. And what’s different with TB is the fact that not only do they have a fantastic Youtube channel, but they also publish great articles on their website. Jon Rettinger, the owner of TechnoBuffalo, runs the small publication and also helps run the Youtube channel. His site offers a variety of articles on Technobuffalo. Leaks, Reviews, Software, you name it, It’s on their site. I like the TechnoBuffalo channel because there is always something new. Or someone. TechnoBuffalo used to have Mark, who now works at The Verge and now TechnoBuffalo has a wide variety of contributors, producers, and tech enthusiasts to make the website what it is today.

PhoneDog
So, you’re into phones… Well, so am I. Many others in the tech community are as well. If you’re looking for a fresh channel for all things mobile PhoneDog is something to look into. They push out consistent content on things like phone comparisons, accessories, and all things mobile. At 583,000 subscribers, they are a but smaller than most of the Youtubers on this list. They also make videos on tech as well such as their best tech of August and Xbox One S Unboxing video.
Wrapup
Tech YouTube is a thriving community of gadget lovers who have grown together and helped each other along the way. While there are many up and coming tech tubers, these guys have shaped what we think about technology. They’re the go-to experts whenever someone needs a phone, and at one time they were only kids behind a computer screen talking about gadgets. They may have been in the right place at the right time, but they were also passionate and committed to technology. Now they’re getting to fly around the world to events like IFA, CES, SXSW, and many others where they’re getting to test the latest gadgets first hand. Tech YouTube is a real thing that now get’s press invites and many times we’ve sat next to them and didn’t even realize who they are.
