Tesla’s autopilot feature just saved a mans life

Recently press around Tesla’s autopilot feature has been doom and gloom. Recent news of the fatal accident involving a Tesla owner using autopilot at the time of the accident, but Tesla may have some light shining through, as 37-year-old Joshua Neally activated the autopilot mode in his Tesla Model X to take him to the nearest hospital.

Joshua was experiencing a sharp pain in his stomach, getting uncomfortable and feeling an intense pain continue, he activated the autopilot mode, and his Tesla drove him to the nearest hospital. He parked the car himself and was able to make it in to get it help. Elon Musk is a strong believer in how many lives the autopilot feature will save. Elon says if the autopilot is used universally among consumers it could potentially save around 500,000 lives a year.

It’s a growing technology and if we can keep building on the technology to be safer and smarter, we have the potential to save more lives on the road.
