Google Assistant the newest voice assistant

Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai took the stage at Google I/O to announce “Google Assistant.” The new voice assistant works a bit like “Okay Google,” but can understand context along with the ability to integrate with third-party services like OpenTable.

According to CEO Sundar Pichai:

“We want to do [your tasks] for you, understanding your context. We think of this as building each user, their own individual Google”

Google’s demo on stage is impressive and can talk to you in a conversational tone. The tool looks extremely powerful, and the next step for search. Google understands Alexa being able to control your home and find anything with your voice was going to replace typing easily in a search on a phone or web browser.

The company hopes the digital assistant will become a part of Android Wear, Android Auto, Nest, Google Home, and touch everywhere you go. I would be more impressed if Google can create a tool where your devices know which one you’re talking about when you have a Google Home and phone at the same place.
