Google Calendar gets an update that will make habits stick

I’ve always been a big fan of Google Calendar, but there have been better options like Sunrise. They’ve offered more advanced features and syncing with multiple platforms with ease. Google’s newest calendar update helps you if you’re struggling to keep those new years resolutions by letting you adding them to your calendar.

It looks great if you’re trying to workout daily or follow a healthy diet.

To use the new feature, you’ll click the Add button as if you would normally be adding an event. From there, it’ll ask you what type of goal you’re trying to make a habit of. The calendar then asks you how many times a week you want to stick to that goal, and fits it into your schedule. Boom. Habit, Done.

Now, of course, you’ll have to check your phone for reminders of when to work out or stop by the farmers market, which shouldn’t be hard considering our phones are glued to our hands. The feature makes Google calendar a one stop shop for all of our scheduling needs, especially as it’s integrated into Google Now and Gmail.

Tell us in the comments below if the new feature will help you stick to some of your goals, or if you need a little more encouragement from a real person.
