Google announces an event on September 29

On Friday, Google’s going to share some “tasty treats” with us at their Mountain View offices. Given all the leaks around the Sept. 29 event we expect to see two new Nexus devices along with a new Chromecast. The Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X will likely be announced, along with the second generation Chromecast. The leaks have been freely flowing lately around the devices and the event.

Both Nexus devices will include fingerprint scanners, Android Pay, and Android Marshmallow 6.0. The names aren’t appealing though they make sense for Google. The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P likely have different names because they’re from different manufactures. The prices haven’t leaked so many people are speculating over if the phones will shoot for different price points. The phones may end up being priced at different points, with one being higher end and the other being lowered more modestly priced.

Additionally, Google’s Chromecast has a lot of rumors and leaks swirling around. A second generation Chromecast should hit shelves with better Wifi, an app to find content, and a new slimmer look. We’re also expecting a Chromecast Audio device, which will plug into older speakers to  stream music through Wifi and bluetooth. The Chromecast sold million of units since its launch two years ago, along with becoming a top seller on Amazon.

We’re pretty excited for the event and what else Google have up their sleeves. We’re hoping for a low price on the new Nexus devices like the original Nexus 5. Tell us what you think about all the Google and Android news in the comments down below!
