If you’ve used the stock calendar app on Android or iOS you know it lacks in areas that leaves you jumping to third party apps like Sunrise. Sunrise calendar app is a social savvy calendar app that is beautifully designed. The reported purchase of this app would bring Microsoft into more users lives that use Mac’s, iPhone’s, and Androids. Up until recently if you wanted to use Microsoft products or service you would need to use a Windows phone/computer or the web. Now they want to close the gap and bring their reach into more areas of our lives.
Microsoft wants to show investors and the younger generation that its focused on mobile as they transition their Windows operating system away from being mobile orientated. Microsoft is said to keep the app running separate but roll some of the features into its outlook calendar app.
