Google’s moonshot project to bring self driving cars to our roads may become a thing sooner than we think. Consumers may not jump on buying a self driving car because of price or lack of interest. The idea of owning a self driving car isn’t appealing, but a self driving car from a ride sharing app may become the social norm.
Google and Uber have been very friendly with each other the past year, but these ambitions of Google is tearing the relationship apart. Google has enormous resources that could bring self driving cars to ride sharing services like Uber or Google’s own services.
Not everyone likes making small talk with taxi drivers or Uber drivers, and self driving cars would cut the human interaction out completely.
