NFL highlights will be on YouTube

To watch NFL highlight videos you have to venture to the NFL website or Facebook for some limited content. The NFL has partnered with Google to bring football highlights to YouTube, and also bring highlights right into Google search. The NFL’s YouTube channel can be found at YouTube.com/NFL, where you’ll find unique “seven-day-a-week” NFL programming schedule, which will include game previews, in-game highlights, post-game recaps, and even fantasy football advice.

This is a win for YouTube to continue to hold onto their monopoly of online video as Facebook video becomes a serious competitor.

“Partnering with YouTube and Google provides the NFL unique access to millions of highly engaged fans through the global leader in video and search,” said Hans Schroeder, Senior Vice President, Media Strategy, Business Development & Sales for the NFL. “We continue to see an insatiable appetite for digital video content, and this partnership further expands fans’ ability to discover and access NFL content throughout the year.”

The NFL wants to expand its fan base and now having a global audience on YouTube its league can grow online and its fan base.
