Happy Holidays

The holidays are coming to a close and we are quickly moving into the new year. 2014 has been an eventful and very interesting year that has all kept on us the edge of our seats. We saw Yahoo try to be cool again by buying dozens of startups, one of them being Tumblr. Apple introduced their new larger iPhones, and brought us hundreds of improvements in iOS 8. Microsoft has become cool by embracing a mobile facing mission, along with their continued efforts to be on every platform. Facebook is looking beyond their gates through buying Oculus and Instagram. Google has gone after moonshot projects and they look like they may pay off in the not so distant future. These are just a handful of the biggest stories we’ve covered on the site through the year.

The continued support we’ve seen from you, the reader, has helped us continue to write about the things we love most. We’ve made missteps that we struggled to recover from, but you never gave up on us. We learned from the mistakes and missteps, and made changes that not only better the site but align us more with our mission. The year wasn’t all mistakes, we made progress and crafted great things. The new design that’s in place was our greatest achievement that made the site more user friendly and unique. We want to thank Ninajlity for the design and development of the theme and new logo. They’ve helped us brand the site across different social sites, and make the website more interactive.

Going into the new year we have a lot planned, and still to be planned. We first want to focus on YouTube and our video presence. We have been working on a set up to do game plays, weekly recaps, and review videos. The content on the site will be post daily as we have been, but we will also bring more content from more writers. We also have ideas of what we want to do, but they haven’t made it as far as the drawing board.

Technology blogs are a dime a dozen, but what sets us apart is unobtrusive ads along with content that has each writer’s thoughts and opinions. We want to report the facts but also analyze and look deeper into how that news will affect the technology world in the future. We want to focus on technology and not general topics like other blogs have started to do.

2015 is going to be our year, and we hope you’ll stay along for the ride. We’d love to hear what tech gifts you got or gave for Christmas, and what you’d like to see from us in the coming year. Happy holidays and I hope to see you  around the site.
