Microsoft Names Satya Nadella as New CEO

Steve Ballmer the CEO of Microsoft from 2000 to 2013, has taken an early retirement.  This has left Microsoft looking for a new CEO that will fit the new one Microsoft. Microsoft has officially named  43 year old Satya Nadella as the new CEO of the company. Mr. Nadella has worked for Microsoft for 22 years, and most recently worked as the executive vice president of cloud and enterprise.

He is talented and hopefully can appease the Microsoft board who wants to see things getting done and being successful. Bill Gates is stepping down from  the chairman of the board of directors. Mr. Gates won’t be leaving the company ful but taking on a different role as Founder and Technology advisor and will work closely with Nadella.

Moving forward Satya Nadella will have a large battle with the struggling Surface sale, low Windows 8 adoption, and trying to compete with cloud storage online. The company has also struggled with Windows phone and attempting to get people to switch from iPhones and Android, but have had little success in trying to do so. Microsoft has always been late to innovate and jump into the market when someone else has already found success. Hopefully Nadella will be able to help change the company and bring the computer giant back to the old glory days.

Tell us what you think about Satya Nadella as the new CEO and Bill Gates new role as an advisor.
