Pebble Announced the Pebble Steel at CES 2014

The well known Pebble smartwatch which has been in low supplies for months now. Pebble announced a new smartwatch edition, the Pebble Steel, which is built with stainless steel and Corning Gorilla Glass. It will not break any apps and features a new tricolor LED display. The battery will last between 5-7 days, it has a waterproof sealing, a daylight readable display and still packs all the old features of the first generation Pebbles.

Pebble Steel is made of premium watch components, including milled stainless steel and Corning® Gorilla® Glass. It runs all the same apps and software as Pebble though! It is completely compatible with the existing Pebble ecosystem.

The Pebble Steel can be ordered today for $249, and should ship by January 28th. The Pebble Steel is a premium version of the Pebble, and is much thinner then the previous version. I’m still in between on liking the new design and thinking it is trying to hard to look like regular watches. I know most people wanted this sort of design, but I liked the watch to look different and be a talking point. The price point is always a little premium, which is similarly priced to the Galaxy Gear.
