Amazon Increases Super Saver Shipping Minimum to $35

Amazon has won over so many shoppers with its Super Saver Shipping program, which allowed you to get free shipping if you made a purchase over $25. This has won over millions of customers who wanted to buy something online but did not want to pay tax and shipping cost. Amazon has a slight change to this program which will affect anyone wanting to qualify for this free shipping.

As I previously state the minimum purchase amount had been $25, but in a sudden change Amazon has increase the minimum to $35. An increase in shipping could have played into this, along with millions taking advantage of this. If Amazon could push some more consumers to their Prime service, they could make more money. Prime offers movies similar to netflix, books on loan, and free 2 day shipping for $79.99 a year.

Millions of Amazon customers have already made the choice of faster shipping by becoming Amazon Prime members. Prime includes unlimited Free Two-Day Shipping, with no minimum order size, on more than 15 million items, as well as unlimited streaming of over 41,000 movies and TV episodes through Prime Instant Video and access to over 350,000 books to borrow through the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library. The service is so popular that more than a year ago we began shipping more items with Prime than with free shipping. Click here to start a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime.

I’ve taken advantage of Prime services, and I cannot praise the online site for how useful it has been. Prime is still a small service, but it brings users into the Amazon ecosystem of Kindle readers and purchasing everything through the site. The changes to super saver shipping have already gone into effect. Tell us in the comments below if this change will affect you and how much. Tell us also if you’ll be purchasing Amazon Prime to keep getting free shipping.
