Apple unveils Haswell-based MacBook Pros with Retina display

Apple refreshed their MacBook Pro with Retina Display today 13 and 15-inch models. The 13-inch model can hold nine hours of battery life, while the 15-inch can last for eight hours on a charge. The 13-inch model is has a 4th generation dual-core Intel Haswell chip. It’s also thinner and offers 90 percent faster graphics. WiFi and Flash have also been improved, and lacks a physical DVD drive.

The 13-inch system starts at $1,299 for a model with a 2.4GHz Core i5, 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD. The 15-inch counterpart starts at $1,999. These both go one sell today, which means Apple stores will be swamped with customers wanting the phone. The SSD are a nice change, but some power users will want extra space for sure. The prices are very similarly priced to previous models, but these computers have gotten a much needed up grade.
