Acer’s New 11.6 Inch Chromebook

After HP unveiled a new Chromebook, Acer showed off a new Chromebook themselves. They’re building off the original Chromebook from them almost a year ago. The new C720 Chromebook is $249, so very similarly to the Samsung Chromebook. You can pre-order the notebook through Amazon and Bestbuy, but not through Google Play just yet.

The Chromebook sports a 11.6-inch 1366 x 768-pixel anti-glare display and offers an acceptable 8.5 hours of battery life. The C720 comes equipped with an Intel Celeron 2955U processor, 4GB of DDR3L RAM and an additional 16GB of storage on its solid state drive. The device has USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, along with an HDMI port and SD card reader. There is no 3G or 4G option, though with the way Acer is building Chromebook’s we could see another one with cell reception fairly soon.
