The must have Nintendo Switch games after E3

E3 has come and gone but now we have a ton of new game titles to expect. While many of the titles won’t come out until later in the year, we can start adding them to our wish lists. Some of the upcoming titles include Rocket League, Skyrim, Metroid 4, Kirby, Yoshi, and more titles. Nintendo also released a ton of trailers for the upcoming games, giving us a sneak peek at what we can expect this fall and winter.

Hopefully, Nintendo will fix the inventory issues plaguing the Switch. We’ve been talking about out of stock consoles since the Switch launched back in March. While stores are still getting the Switch in stock each week, they’re still flying off the shelves. You can still use our article chock full of tips and tricks on how to find if a store has the Switch in stock and get notified when they do come in stock.

We’ve put together a list of the best games you can pre-order now. If you also have Amazon Prime you can save 20% off the games before they’re even out on store shelves.

Metroid Prime 4

Buy: $59.99

Buy Prim: $47.99

Metroid Prime 4 is coming to the Nintendo Switch! While details on Metroid is scarce, we do know we’re getting the game. Fans of Nintendo and the game are beyond excited about the announcement. As you can see in the trailer, we don’t have any game play. We only have a small start screen and title. Either way, fans of the game are having a positive reaction.

Mario + the Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Buy: $59.99

Buy Prim: $47.99

Mario and Rabbids universes collide in a new adventure for the Nintendo Switch. Battle with an arsenal of weapons in new worlds, with new enemies, puzzles, and much more! Being on Nintendo Switch you’ll have all the action with you on the go. You can play as dozens of characters including the Mario, Luigi, and combining forces with four Rabbids heros.

Yoshi

Buy: $59.99

Buy Prim: $47.99

Yoshi is getting his own game on the Switch. Like Mario, the game is getting a 3D makeover with some new friends and worlds. We’ll be able to play Yoshi in 2018, but Nintendo still needs a title. The gameplay we’ve seen so far is promising, but we have to remember the game is still far off.

Kirby

Buy: $59.99

Buy Prim: $47.99

Kirby is back with the same appetite, sword swinging, fire welding attitude we’re used to. The game uses the same 3D layout we’ve seen in Mario, Yoshi, and other updated Nintendo games. There isn’t a title yet, and we won’t see the game until 2018. Fans are still considerably excited about the game and gameplay we’ve seen so far.

Super Mario Odyssey

Buy: $59.99

Buy Prim: $47.99

Super Mario Odyssey is coming out soon. There is a new map called New Donk City, which looks like New York. It’s a semi-open world where you can explore and run around. It’s a drastically different than other Mario games. We’re still looking for the princess, so the game isn’t totally different.

Splatoon 2

Buy: $59.99

Buy Prim: $47.99

Splatoon was a success on the Wii U, even though that console failed for Nintendo. With all the success of the Switch, Splatoon 2 should see more success. It’s based around shooting paint around the map and the winning team is the one with the most paint on the map. Simple, and in July we’ll get to play the game.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Buy: $59.99

Buy Prim: $47.99

Skyrim is making the jump to the Nintendo Switch. Beshada, the developer of Skyrim and Fallout, is bringing the game to over. The game is one of the first big titles to come over from other consoles. We’ve seen Rocket League and Minecraft make the jump, but Skyrim is a bigger and more graphically advanced game. It’s on par with Zelda.

Wrap up

There are a ton of games coming to the Nintendo Switch, both first party and third party titles. If you do own a Switch it’s exciting to see all the titles coming out. If you’ve been holding off on getting a Switch, now’s the time to start looking for the console.

Tell us if we’ve missed any hot titles you think I should pre-order!
