Galaxy Note 7 replacements are exploding

It’s safe to say; if you have a Samsung Galaxy Note 7, whether it’s an original one or a replacement model, you should return it or stop using it.

Since the replacement phones have started shipping, there’s been a total of 4 “exploding phones.” The Verge has independently confirmed the phones were all replacement models based on the markings on the boxes. As a result, AT&T is halting the sales of all Note 7’s in hopes they’ll keep consumers safe, but also mitigate their overall finical burdens.

Samsung claims they’re working quickly and ‘diligently’ on the problems, but it looks like they’re trying to give everyone the runaround. In a Statement, Samsung said:

“We are working diligently with authorities and third party experts and will share findings when we have completed the investigation. Even though there are a limited number of reports, we want to reassure customers that we are taking every report seriously. If we determine a product safety issue exists, Samsung will take immediate steps approved by the CPSC to resolve the situation.”

While the cases are isolated, and with over 500 million phones replaced already, there may be a small chance you have a defective phone. But do you want to take a chance with a phone that’ll catch fire while in your pocket, or while your sleeping? Other carriers will hopefully follow AT&T’s lead, and in the end, Samsung needs to pull the whole Note 7 line – to sort out all the problems. Every carrier will allow you to return or exchange your phone for either an equal trade or a full refund, but

Do you have a Note 7? Are you going to return your phone your carrier or try and keep your phone? – Tell us in the comments below!
