iOS 8.3 brings close to 300 new Emojis

Emojis are one of the easiest ways to communicate with friends and family, and Apple sees how big of a draw these are to users on iOS devices. The new emojis have close to 300 news ones that include the diversity emojis which gives the emoji people 6 different color options. The refreshed emojis also include a new menu that’s fluid and allows you to flow through them in one easy motion.

The emojis only work if you’ve update your idevice to iOS 8.3, which means friends that haven’t updated won’t see darker skinned emojis if they are on iOS 8.2 or below. They will instead see a box with an alien inside. It’s not the best choice but it’s what Apple has put in place for now. If you send the new family emojis they will convert to 3 o 4 different emojis depending on which ones you choose.

The iOS 8.3 update also brings bug fixes and performance updates. The update also includes updates for Car Play, iCloud and Siri. These are small updates but most users are focusing on the emojis that they use hundreds of times a day.

Tell us in the comments below what you think about the new emojis and new menu that the iOS 8.3 update brings.
