Apple Sends Out Invites for Oct. 16 event

Apple has finally sent out an invite to the press for the event where the company is expect to release new iPads.

The company sent out press invitations with the tagline “it’s been too long” on Wednesday to an event next week, where it’s expected to debut the next-generation iPad Air and iPad mini. The event will be held at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, Calif. at 10:00 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. ET.

Some have also heard rumors of new Macs coming but it’s highly unlikely. We will however see the official release of Yosemite for all Macs. Yosemite, which was first shown at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco in June, comes with a radically redesigned user interface. It also features enhanced AirDrop and iCloud Drive capabilities as well as the ability to take calls directly from your Mac by using an iPhone.

Tell us what you think we will see at the event in the comments below, also check back for more news from Apple and live updates from the event.
