It’s spring break for geeks were thousands of startups, technology companies, and technology bloggers swarm Austin, Texas for SXSW. I’ll be venturing around Austin watching panels, looking at startups, and talking to all the geeks in the city. Apple has also seen the need to host a event this year with their iTunes festival, but I doubt we will see anything from Apple outside the music portation. I also don’t think we will see any one app or website come out from the chaos of SXSWi.
If you’ll be in Austin and want to meet up at one of the lounges, events, or somewhere else we’ll be on Twitter, Facebook, and other social apps. With more than 50,000 people expected to converge on the city we will see a lot new companies release their apps, but established brands like Twitter and Foursquare have decided to take the sideline.
