Bing’s getting a small visual update that a lines it with other Microsoft offerings. First off, Bing has gotten a new logo that is beautifully designed if I say so myself. . “The logo, obviously, is a big deal for us, a lot more angular and fresh and sharper than we’ve used in the past,” said Microsoft’s Lawrence Ripsher in a interview with The Verge. The main color that Bing has chosen is a orange color that is almost golden, and the ‘ B’ is more square and relates to the Microsoft flag logo now.
Microsoft has also built snapshots, sort of like Google Cards, into their search engine even more. The focus of Bing is to quickly search your information and be done. Not only search the web, but also with in your social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. Microsoft’s attempting to draw users away from Google, but they know looks and design won’t be enough to get users to move search engines. The quick information cards that Bing’s provided are quick information, that tries to offer better results and answers your questions.
The new redesign makes Bing look more appealing and offers up more information at a quick glance. It also aligns Bing with other Microsoft products, all the while still looking clean and being useful. Bing has a lone way to go before it can compete with Google or any other search engine.
